Here at Juicy, we’ve always been fans of ‘working from home’… yes, we do have a HQ office and design studio, but some of our team work remotely all the time… it’s all about having the right comms, the right technology and a great ‘can do’ approach.

And Team Juicy is nothing if not ‘can do’; so we’re all working from home for the foreseeable future to keep both ourselves and our clients as safe as we can in these uncertain times.

We may be working from home, but we’re never remote!

We’ve been embracing flexibility, adaptability and ingenuity for over 20 years; adopting remote conferencing, Skype calling, digital platforms and the rest; making it work for us and our clients… we’ve been there, done that, got the t-shirt and honed it to a fine art!

It will be interesting to see if this really prompts a move to more modern ways of working and a wider appreciation of the benefits and cost-savings it offers (only time will tell).

Right now, being able to work from home means we can still give you the personal service you expect from your Juicy Team. And just because things are a bit crazy right now doesn’t mean business has to stop completely – in fact, keeping in touch with your customers and reaching out to prospects is more important than ever. 

Let’s face it, if they’re going to do business, you want it to be with you rather than with anyone else!

And talking about being remote… we appreciate that we may be used to this, but if you’ve been thrown suddenly into working this way, it can be a little strange, even daunting.

 

Here are our top tips for managing the isolation and staying motivated:

  • Keep in touch with your colleagues – setting a time every morning for a team call to plan out the day ahead and have a chat over coffee is a great way to keep motivated. Checking in at some point in the afternoon also helps to curb the cabin fever and keep your projects on track.
  • Talk to your customers too – they may be feeling the same as you; it’s good to reach out, connect and just show them you care.
  • Avoid checking social media every 5 minutes – the spread of ‘fake news’ can be quite overwhelming. Whilst it’s good to keep up with the latest news regarding coronavirus, don’t over stress yourself by constantly refreshing your social feeds.
  • Get some fresh air – if you’re able to get out for a walk at lunchtime, do it. If not, getting out in the garden will give you a change of scene which is important for motivation and productivity.
